CHILDREN AND TEENS

"Thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them ..."
Deuteronomy 6:7
While we know that there is no substitute for a Christ-centered home, we also believe that the church can play a significant role, through weekly Bible teaching, in the future conversion and discipleship of its children. In addition to time spent in our church worship services, age-appropriate Biblical instruction is given on a weekly basis in Sunday School classes, and a rotation between Patch Club and Truth Trackers on Wednesday evenings throughout the year.

Visiting a new church can make people nervous because every church is different. So, what will you find at Anchor?  One of the ways that we seek to serve our welcomed visitors is through childcare and children's ministries. These ministries are available for almost every service to help your visit to be worry-free! Nursery care (infants-3 year-olds) is available for all services. Children's church (ages 4-7) is provided during the Sunday morning service.

Wednesday nights during the school year, children ages 4 through grade 6 gather together for Truth Trackers. Truth Trackers is designed to be a tool to systematically disciple children through weekly memory verses, daily devotions, weekly lessons, and fun activities. In Truth Trackers, children enjoy learning and applying Biblical truth! For more information about Truth Trackers, click here!

Wednesday nights during the summer, children ages 4 through grade 6 gather together for Anchor Adventure Club.  Anchor Adventure Club is a weekly children’s discipleship program based on the Answers in Genesis Bible Curriculum, whose goal is to help lay a Biblical foundation by teaching through the Bible starting in Genesis. Our focus is to learn the truth, love the truth, and live the truth. For more information about Answers Bible Curriculum, click here!

Being a teenager can be a challenging, but those teen years are a great time to make wonderful memories, grow spiritually, and discover the roles that God has fitted our young adults to play in the local church. Youth fellowships are designed to help our teens have fun, reach out, and serve in the local church while not excluding them from the normal meetings and activities of church life. Each year our teens look forward to the December Leaders in Training youth conference, as well as summer camp at the Wilds.
